Stephen Kramer Glickman
Born in a Russian Jewish family in London, Ontario, Canada, Stephen Kramer Glickman was raised in Carlsbad, California. Since his childhood, he has performed in live theatre and has grown up collecting Star Wars toys like a true nerd. He is close to his mother, who is living on her farm with her animals and trees. He is obviously best known for his role of Gustavo Rocque in the Nickelodeon's TV series Big Time Rush that ran from 2009 to 2013. He also appeared in the Big Time Rush TV Movie in 2012. He played as the producer for a company and supervises a boy band to make hit songs in this TV series.
After the show Big Time Rush, he hired celebrity trainer, Eric the Trainer, to reduce his weight and joined food program, Sunfare to show his will to remain healthy and fit. He is sort of an inspiration not only as a stand up comedian or an actor but also for loosing nearly 288 pounds and wearing 2XL shirts instead of the old 5XL. It takes time and dedication for such hard work of training to reduce weight. It shows a lot of will power and he seems to have it. He is a funny person to be with and has a sense of humour that can keep you rolling in laughter.
He's not only a nerd but a singer, an actor and a stand-up comedian, who can be found performing at Hollywood Improv, IO West, The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, Upright Citizens Brigade, etc. with his funny bits to make you laugh, but you need to be above 21 of age to attend most of his shows. He has played Shrek in the Broadway Workshop and lately, he gave voice for the animated movie Storks. He was a much loved and funny character playing Pigeon Loady, an insecure and loony character. In fact, he did such an amazing job at it that he ended up giving voices to multiple characters in the movie.
His comedy is funny and he targets even himself at the shows. He has produced comedy movies like The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It and 30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with the Devil Inside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. His singing is fantastic as well and he can definitely do a Disney's funny character. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he is featuring in a Disney movie as a funny dude that matches his style of comedy and element of fun. It is something to look forward to as he showed he has got it!
He continues to feature on YouTube on his channel - funnyguyfromtv - and often has some of the co-stars from the series Big Time Rush show up in his videos. Overtime, he has made a big fanbase and has moved onto Hollywood. It's not easy to be a celebrity but he is such an easy person to be with when I met him at the show at The Laugh Factory. One of the humble and down to earth person I've met. To say in short, Stephen Glickman is an inspiration with his stand-up comedy, singing and his dedication to reduce weight and become healthy.
